Collaborative Doctorate Study with the University of Exeter

There's an exciting new development here at Theatre Alibi this autumn, as we embark on a collaborative doctorate study in partnership with Exeter University Drama Department.

This fully-funded three-year PhD will look at the impact of our work with young people and we are delighted to announce that Elaine Faull will be undertaking this research.

Elaine was previously Centre-Director of the Tacchi Morris Arts Centre, a Drama Teacher at The SPACE and fourteen years’ experience as a Headteacher in Somerset. She has extensive experience working in the fields of participatory and community theatre. Before undertaking an MA in Theatre Practice at Exeter University, Elaine was a Secondary Head Teacher and a Drama Specialist.

Elaine will be based at the University, with supervision, training, mentoring and additional research taking place both at the University of Exeter and Theatre Alibi.

Theatre Alibi has been creating and touring high quality new work for young people to schools in the South West for more than 30 years and last year reached more than 13,000 children in their own primary or special school.
