Work Experience & Internships

Work Experience for Young People
We offer a limited number of work experience placements to young people studying Drama or related subjects beyond GCSE. These take place during August and September when we are rehearsing our autumn production and are for a maximum of five days. Placements are given the opportunity to sit in on rehearsals, help in our office and, where possible, observe the design and making process. If you’re interested in a placement, please write or email us at info@theatrealibi.co.uk telling us a bit about yourself and what you expect to get out of the experience.

Design Placements
We usually offer two Design placements each year to students and graduates of Theatre Design or related subjects. If you’re interested in a placement, please write or email us at info@theatrealibi.co.uk telling us a bit about yourself and what you expect to get out of the experience.

Internships
We offer a paid Stage Management internship each autumn. The internship is advertised in early summer and there is an application and interview process. The 2013, 2014 and 2015 internships were supported by the Creative Employment Programme.

As a member of the Independent Theatre Council with Ethical Manager status Theatre Alibi was keen to sign up to the Fair Access Principle. We’re committed to being fair employers and making our company a rewarding and enjoyable place to work. Encouraging diversity is an important part of that principle and we’re keen to ensure our recruitment process is fair and transparent in relation to everyone we take on, whether it be a performer, intern, a work experience placement, or volunteer.
